My name is Joel Hermann. I am the deacon over the worship ministry here at Bend City Church. My family and I have been members at Bend City since the spring of 2013. I grew up in the West Bend/Kewaskum area and have served in worship from my teen years on.

As someone who grew up in the church, praise and worship have always been central to my relationship with the Lord. I knew very early on that music worship is something that He has called me to be a part of and over the years, that passion has only grown. After High School, I spent a couple of years in training and leading worship and prayer meetings full time in Kansas City, Missouri. In 2003 I felt God calling me to return “home” where I have been involved in night and day, multi-church prayer meetings and various worship ministries ever since.

I view praise and worship as “musical prayer,” communing and interacting with the King of Kings in reverence, joy, love, intimacy, freedom and more. He is continually teaching me about His plans and purposes for His church in music and prayer, and He has given me a love for His people and a desire to see us raised up as true worshipers who worship in Spirit and in Truth.

I am truly thankful for the fellowship of Bend City and the church throughout this area and I am excited for all that He has done, and all that He will do.
